Paper Clay Workshop

The Paper Clay workshop sign-up has begun.  If you are interested in attending, send a check made out to Mary Mansfield to Harold Snider @ 635 Brooks Court Grand Junction CO 81504.  Harold is keeping a spreadsheet of those who have paid.

Photo Shoot of Guild Member’s Pottery and Potluck

This will take place Saturday, May 12th at Cindy Logue’s at 9:00 AM and will be followed by a potluck.  Bring your pots and something to eat and a good time will be had by all.

4-H girls raku event

Saturday, May 5th at Ben & Mary’s Grand Junction Ceramics, beginning at 9:00 AM.

501 (c)(3) status

Harold has found a resource that shows how to create a 501 (c)(3) organization.  He will order the book and Ron Cloy and Bonnie Hellman have volunteered to help him with completing the project.

Tony Clennel Workshop

Tony Clennel, the star of the video, Taking the Macho out of Big Pots, has agreed to do a workshop for the Guild that will take place in the first half of 2008.  Thanks to BJ Clark, Becky Fassler’s fiancé for making the contact with Tony and getting his agreement to do a workshop for us.

Naked Raku and Foil Sagar Workshop

There is a strong possibility that the Guild will host a workshop on naked raku and foil sagar firing in the next few months.  Stay tuned for details.

June Meeting

The June meeting of the Guild will be a pot-luck affair hosted by Ron Cloyd at his place, and will be on Saturday, June 9th at 6:00 PM.
