Holiday Sale

The holiday sale is the 7th & 8th of December. It was suggested that we do a glossy color photograph on the postcard this year in an attempt to upgrade the image of the event. There is a very reasonable online source for doing this. We will just need to decide on an appropriate image.

Tony Clennell Workshop

Becky will attempt to contact Tony to get more information on this 2008 workshop and share it at the next meeting.

Pot Shots

Joanie Post and Harold Snider shared with the group their most recent work. Joanie brought 4 pieces: a platter with a “starry night” design incised into it, a shallow bowl with a regular impressed design around the rim, an oval bowl with handles (a technique that she learned at the Bill Van Gilder workshop), and a small bowl. Harold brought 3 of the ferric chloride fumed vessels with sprigged decoration. He also demonstrated the use of the press molds that he created for the decorations (an ammonite fossil, pine cone, and gypsum deposit called a desert rose).
